Inspections and Video Tours, Without Leaving the Chat

No more typing out times in a message box and hoping for a reply. Propose an inspection, get it confirmed, and share a video walkthrough — all as part of the conversation you're already having.

Arranging a room inspection has always meant typing something like "are you free Tuesday at 3pm?" into a chat box and waiting to see if it actually got confirmed. There was no record of whether a time was locked in, no reminder, and no easy way to show a video walkthrough without emailing a file around.

Now both of those live directly inside the conversation itself — structured, confirmable, and backed by the same notifications that already tell you when someone's messaged you.

How it works

Four small steps replace what used to be a back-and-forth of typed messages.

🗓️

Propose a time

Landlords pick a date and time from a calendar right in the message composer — no more back-and-forth typing out times in chat.

It posts as a card in the conversation, not a plain message, so it's impossible to miss.

One-tap confirm

The person it was proposed to taps Confirm, and both sides get notified straight away — through the same push and email alerts new messages already use.

If plans change, the landlord just proposes a new time — no separate decline flow to navigate.

📅

Add to calendar

Either side can download an .ics file for the confirmed time and drop it straight into their own calendar app.

Works with Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar — anything that reads .ics files.

🏠

Public open homes

Landlords can optionally list an inspection publicly — it shows on the property card as an open home, visible to everyone browsing the listing, not just the person it was proposed to.

Independent of who confirms it — it's a broadcast, not a one-on-one appointment.

Video tours — private by default

A short walkthrough video says more than a dozen photos ever could. Landlords can now attach one to a listing and decide exactly who sees it.

  • Upload a video walkthrough directly, or link an existing YouTube video — whichever's easier.
  • Private by default: it's never shown on the public listing page unless you choose to make it public.
  • Share a private tour with one specific person straight from that conversation — they get a Watch tour button in the chat, nobody else can see it.
  • Flip a tour to public any time and it shows on the property card with a Video tour badge.

What it looks like in practice

  1. 1A landlord taps the calendar icon in a conversation and picks a date and time
  2. 2The other person sees a card in the chat with a Confirm button — one tap and it's locked in
  3. 3Either side downloads an .ics file to add it straight to their own calendar
  4. 4If it's listed as a public open home, it also shows up right on the property card

Try it on your next conversation

Open any conversation about a property listing and look for the calendar icon next to the message box.
