The available room is a medium-sized upstairs room that comfortably fits a queen bed (included), with a large wardrobe and plenty of space for a desk or vanity. It gets great morning sun, making it a bright and inviting space to start your day. The house is a modern, warm and dry new build located in Naenae, with a peaceful outlook backed by the hills. It’s tucked away on a quiet street, making it a great place to come home to and relax. The home has four bedrooms in total, two shared bathrooms, and is fully furnished throughout; including a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and comfortable lounge. There’s also a patio with outdoor furniture, perfect for enjoying some fresh air or winding down in the evenings. Being a new build, the house is well insulated and features central heating, so it stays warm and comfortable year-round. A cleaner also comes once a week (included with the rent), which helps keep shared spaces in great condition. Other features include fast fibre internet, a shared laundry with washer and dryer, and easy street parking. Public transport is convenient, with a bus stop at the end of the street and the train station nearby, making commuting into the CBD (around 25 to 30 minutes) straightforward.

About the flatmates

We’re a couple of young professionals working in IT and HR, typically on a 9–5 schedule and often working from home. We keep things pretty relaxed during the week. We enjoy unwinding after work, staying active, and having the occasional chat, but also respect personal space and downtime. We’re tidy and take pride in keeping a clean, comfortable home, so we’re looking for someone who’s on the same page. We also have a friendly 9-year-old Staffy/Ridgeback cross who loves people and attention. He’s very chill, spends most of his time sunbathing or lounging around, and is a big part of the household. We’re not a party house, but we do enjoy the occasional dinner with friends. Overall, it’s a calm, easygoing home that we like to keep as a nice place to relax and recharge.
